Sapphire Rooms launched last year, yet since then it’s made substantial changes that make it an even better place to play. It features exclusive Nektan content, plus a few NextGen titles, and although it’s definitely a smaller casino, there’s nothing small about the amount of fun to be had. Even better, Sapphire Rooms are big fans of rewarding all players – there are great promotions and a huge welcome package up for grabs. That’s not to mention the free £5 all players receive just for signing up!
Why Sapphire Rooms?
Sapphire Rooms is a Nektan powered casino that launched late last year. Since then, it’s become one to watch as it keeps upping it’s game in all departments.
It’s a much smaller casino that others in the market, but we’ve found that this isn’t so much of a bad thing. There’s just over 50 games on offer, yet most are exclusive to Nektan casinos so you won’t find them anywhere else! Even better, all games work flawlessly across devices and Nektan have done a really great job of making sure their small collection offers something for everyone.
Sapphire Rooms are also offering all new players a great three-part welcome package, plus a £5 no deposit bonus. There’s also plenty of great weekly and seasonal promotions up for grabs. Since Sapphire Rooms adopted Boku as a payment method this year, we’re also happy to report that all players can deposit via mobile billing – meaning banking with this casino is fast and simple.

Welcome Bonuses and Current Promotions
Sapphire Rooms is definitely pulling out all the stops to appeal to new players, but that’s not to say they don’t reward loyal members too. There’s lots of chances to get your hands on some extra cash!
£5 FREE and a trio of match deposit bonuses
First off, Sapphire Rooms are offering all new members a £5 no deposit bonus. This means anyone who signs up will have £5 to play with, absolutely free!
There’s also a trio of bonuses which extend all the way up to your third deposit:
- 200% deposit match bonus – on first deposit up to £50 (So deposit £50 and you’ll have £150 to play with.)
- 100% deposit match bonus – on second deposit up to £200
- 50% deposit match bonus – on third deposit up to £250
This is a sizeable welcome package by any means and means that you could see yourself with an extra £500 to play with! We’re glad to see that they’ve chose to reward players up to their third deposit as this means they value your loyalty, rather than just being concerned about reeling new players in.
There is some downsides to the great-sounding welcome package, however. The £5 no deposit bonus is tied to some staggering wagering requirements (100x), meaning that you’d have to wager at least £500 before you could withdraw, so it might be worth re-thinking it. The deposit match bonuses have more reasonable requirements (30x). This is one of those cases where reading the small print is really important…
Weekly and Seasonal Promotions
As quite a small casino, Sapphire Rooms can’t compete with some of the bigger sites in terms of promotions. However, what they lack in quantity they do make up for in quality, so here’s whats on offfer:
10% Cashback Tuesdays – If you’ve felt unlucky over the weekend or had a less than successful Monday (aren’t they all), then don’t panic as Tuesdays could be the day for you. Sapphire Rooms are giving giving players 10% of their losses back every Tuesday. The promotion covers all losses up to £50, and you simply have to play on the day to be covered!
Bonus Bank – Visit the Sapphire Rooms Bonus Bank every weekday (Monday to Thursday) betwee 6pm-9pm and claim some extra cash! Deposit and play as normal during the peroid and you could be £50 better off! The promotion offers all players a 25% match deposit bonus, up to £50 on their first deposit during the bonus bank hours.
On top of these weekly promotions, Sapphire Rooms are known for dealing out great prizes during seasonal promotional periods. We’ve seen huge bonuses, cash prizes and more, so be sure to regularly check out what’s on offer.
Become a VIP at Sapphire Rooms
The exclusive VIP Circle at Sapphire Rooms is the same as at other Nektan casinos. It’s invitation only based around your playing activity for the month, and comes with a whole host of great freebies. It’s a tiered system, and you can progress from a VIP to a Premier player and then all the way up to Elite. At each level there’s extra bonuses, cashback rewards, exclusive promotions, priority withdrawals, dedicated account managers and birthday presents!
If you’re already a VIP at a different Nektan casino, then make sure you get in touch with Sapphire Rooms’ support staff when you sign up. Your status at another site can be transferred over, so you can expect the same great service throughout Nektan sites.
There’s currently just over 50 games available at Sapphire Rooms, however most of these are exclusive Nektan content. This means that these are games that you won’t find anywhere else. There’s also a small selection of games from Next Gen, which Nektan adopted earlier this year. We’re glad to see some popular titles like Gorilla Go Wild and Starmania on board, meaning that if you normally play at bigger sites you won’t feel so much like a fish out of water.
The Art of Curation
On paper, fifty games doesn’t sounds that great, especially as many players will be used to sites offering hundreds of slots from a range of software designers. However, as we started to play, we found that the small collection of games that Sapphire Rooms does offer are perfectly sufficient.
This is because Nektan have done a fantastic job of curating their games so that there’s something for everyone even without a vast amount of options. There’s choices to be had on themes and paylines, and although the exclusive Nektan games can seem a little basic, the handful of Next Gen favourites they’ve added boost their roster significantly.
There’s something to be said for a casino that doesn’t overwhelm players with choices, it shows a confidence in the games they do offer and a commitment to providing quality. All games run perfectly on mobile as well as on desktop and the mobile casino app loads quickly and is easy to navigate.
Unfortunately, when the inevitable boredom of clicking ‘spin’ sets in, there isn’t many places to turn at Sapphire Rooms. They offer only a few table games and they’re very simple renditions. For card-game fans there’s a Roulette and a Blackjack option but if slots aren’t your thing then Sapphire Rooms probably isn’t the best place for you.
As with everything else, banking at Sapphire Rooms is somewhat limited, although the methods they do offer work well and are efficient.
What depositing methods are available?
At Sapphire Rooms you can deposit via VISA, VISA Debit, VISA Electron, VISA Delta, Mastercard, Maestro, Neteller, Ukash, Skrill, and via phone bill. Whilst it’s obvious that this doesn’t offer players many options, they do seem to have all their bases covered as there’s an e-wallet option, a pre-paid card option and the choice to deposit straight from your handset with Boku mobile payments.
As you all know, we’re very happy when a casino offers a phone billing method so Sapphire Rooms is staying in our good books for now. However we’d love to see at least a few more depositing options in the future so we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
The good news is that all deposits are processed instantly, so you should be able to play straight away. There’s a minimum deposit of £10 with all methods, and most have a maximum daily limit at £2500. Unfortunately, Boku users will be restricted to a maximum daily deposit of £30. However it’s not unusual for phone billing deposits to be more stringently limited so we won’t hold it against them.
What to expect when you withdraw
At Sapphire Rooms you can currently withdraw using Visa, Mastercard, Ukash, Neteller and Skrill.
You need to withdraw at least £10 at a time, and there’s a maximum limit of £10,000 per day. There’s also a maximum pay-out of £250,000 on any game at the casino. There’s a 72 hour processing period on all methods except for Skrill, which is instant and then after that transfers can take between 3-8 days. We’d like some more precision in the Sapphire Rooms withdrawal policy however, as the information isn’t very clear and quite hard to decipher.
Sapphire Rooms are offering players the choice between contacting them via email or phone.
We’re happy to see a telephone number supplied as this means that you can converse with a human being (shocking, I know). However, we’re disappointed to see no Live Chat function. As there’s no information about how quickly you can expect a response, nor is there any indication of what hours the support staff are available via telephone, if a dilemma hits there’s no reassurance that the casino will be fast and responsive.
Overall, Sapphire Rooms is a great smaller sized casino. The layout and design of the site are incredibly simple but effective and the mobile app is much the same. The games, although limited, are of high quality and we’re sure most people will find something they love to play.
In terms of negatives, we’d love to see a few more banking options and a more complete customer support package. We’re also a bit gutted about those steep wagering requirements that their no deposit bonus is tied to.
We’re giving Sapphire Rooms 3 stars. We think that it’s an excellent example of how a scaled-down site can be successful and we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience playing here. We can’t give it more because of the issues listed above, but we hope they make these improvements in the future as we really want to love the site.
