It’s the start of October, which is the time of year that the online and mobile slots market tends to get flooded with all kinds of new Halloween themed slots. It seems 2017 is no exception. While it’s usually the smaller developers trying to stake a claim to some attention who make these games, this year one of the big boys is getting in on the action. Namely, Microgaming are releasing a brand new Halloween themed slot ahead of the 31st. This is on top of two other releases we’re looking forward to in the coming weeks, so let's take a closer look at all three of the new slots.
Halloween Slot By Microgaming
First up, let’s talk about the Halloween slot. We’re not just talking about a game based around the cultural event here, oh no, no, no… We’re talking about a slot based on the 1978 American horror film Halloween. As such, this five reel and 50 payline game features all kinds of sets, symbols and sounds from the game, and has features related to the main plot.
The reels themselves are set against the backdrop of the protagonist Michael’s house, with main features including a Trick or Treat Wheel of Fortune Bonus and Boogeyman Bonus. There are features that have been shoehorned in and have less to do with the plot, but still make it a lot more valuable to play, such as like the Wandering Reels, Extra Spins and Jumbo Blocks. If you’re intrigued by this game and want to see a preview before you play, check out the video Microgaming posted of the slot below.
Lucky Links And King Tusk Slots
Halloween isn’t the only Microgaming slot slated for release this month. In fact, there are two more in the pipeline that were looking forward to getting out hands on soon. They’re the lucky charm themed Lucky Links and the elephant themed King Tusk.
Lucky Links will be a 5 reel, 20 payline slot with a colourful setting and bold graphics. There’s all kinds of traditional lucky charms represented in the game, from shamrocks and acorns to acorns and rabbits feet. The slot allows players to win both ways and offers free unlimited re-spins. Other features include sticky symbols and locked wilds, which ensure big opportunities for wins.
Seeing as one of the most successful games in the Microgaming arsenal is their safari themed Mega Moolah, it makes sense they’re having another punt with the elephant themed King Tusk. The 5 reel, 25 payline game features scatters, standard wilds, mystery wilds and extra spins, and has a choice for you to personalise your own bonuses. There are also the Stampede and Dance features, which are glorified extra spins rounds, where elephants either stampede or dance across your screen as you spin.
Mega Moolah Millionaire
In other Microgaming news from last week, the developer’s famed millionaire making slot Mega Moolah has done what it always does and has churned out yet another Millionaire! Last Monday, a lucky Unibet Casino player became the latest person to have their life changed by the iconic game, with an astonishing which saw them pocketing a whopping €7,742,015.53.
This might sound like it must be a record breaking amount and though any player would be happy to pocket it, it’s actually only the fifth largest Mega Moolah jackpot to day. The game has now paid out over €783 million in jackpots — catch it in action at all good Microgaming casinos!
