Mike Tyson Knockout — Intro
With the fight of the century between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor underway in less than a month, we are nothing less than absolutely thrilled. Just like everyone else, we cannot wait for the match! In the meantime, Inspired Gaming has come up with a mobile slot made for moments just like this.
Called Mike Tyson Knockouts, this mobile slot is designed and developed to properly entertain all of us slot players, and better still deliver knockout payouts. Inspired by the super successful Mike Tyson who has an 86% win rate with almost 90% of them won by knocking out his opponents, we have to say that this slot shares similar characteristics as well.
The bonus features in this game offer up to 12 extra spins with a 10x multiplier on them when activated. That is pretty much a knockout blow by itself!
About The Slot
Before we start our knockout rounds, let’s get through the basics and rules of this game quickly. For starters, Mike Tyson Knockouts is a five reel game with 20 fixed paylines. The wagering options varies depending on whether you have your Fortune Bet turned on or off.
With the Fortune Bet turned on, the minimum and maximum wagering amounts are set at 20p and £200 respectively. When it is turned off, the amounts are effectively halved to 10p and £100 as the minimum and maximum bet per spin. That said, the wagering ranges are wide enough to accommodate both casual players and slot enthusiasts.
Variance wise, this mobile slot is of medium to high variance, which means that you would will be getting frequent wins. What you will get however are bigger wins that come less frequently. That makes the game a little riskier, seeing that you might run out of money before you see any of the big wins. The Return to Player (RTP) rate in this game stands at a respectable 94.7% but it is increased when the Fortune Bets are turned on.
All in all, we would consider the Mike Tyson Knockout a risky game, and unless you are willing to be patient through the drought, this game might not be the right fit for you. On the other hand, if you don’t mind burning through some cash before reaping the rewards of your patience, then by all means, go ahead and this give game a try. Activating any of the bonus features in this game will only catapult your bank balance into another dimension.
How Does This Mobile Slot Perform?
Designed and developed by a less known gaming studio, we were quite skeptical of the overall quality of the game at first. But, oh boy, were couldn’t have been more wrong. Mike Tyson Knockouts runs as smoothly as any slot game can. All the symbols are designed to fit the theme at hand perfectly and the sound track that accompanies the game supplies the upbeat energy that a boxer will need.
The few animations in this game are as crisp as it can get, although we do wish to see small developers like Inspired Gaming to give it a go at developing a slot game with a mini-game in it. Only then, we will be able to fully comment on the quality of animations from a small time developer like Inspired Gaming. The only complain that we have got is the old fashioned looking buttons at the bottom of the reels.
We are glad that the developers also poured lots of resources into ensuring that Mike Tyson Knockout is fully mobile optimised and loads fast even on phone models that are three years old. In short, you will not be experiencing any bugs or glitches in the game even in long gaming sessions!

Game Features: Win Multipliers, Extra Spins!
Mike Tyson Knockout delights its players with four different bonus features. Before we get to any of the main four, there are the Wilds in this slot. It comes in the form of a blue boxing glove and it will replace all others symbols (except scatters) to complete winning paylines.
Now, to serious business, the first feature in this game is the Fortune Bet. Not only does it increase your RTP in the base game when turned on, it also doubles the size of the scatter symbols. As a result, your chances of triggering the extra spins are also doubled and mind you, that’s where the big money is. Unfortunately, turning on the Fortune Bet doubles your wager, so it is up to you to decide if you want to take that risk.
Once you have gotten three scatter symbols anywhere on your reels, the Knockout Bonus will be triggered. The number of knockouts that you have won will be determined by a number on your last scatter. In this bonus, you will be rewarded extra spins with win multipliers.
Here, you may be randomly rewarded anything from six to 12 extra spins with win multipliers ranging from 2x to 10x on them. During the testing of the game, it somehow felt that Wilds are more prevalent in this mode rather than in the base game.
The Grand Feature — Mike Tyson Knockout
Next up are the mystery symbols. They come as boxing bells and stacked on your reels. Consequently, they convert into the highest possible paying symbol to complete winning paylines on your reels to give you massive wins. Of all the other bonus features, we find the mystery symbols to be the most valuable.
For starters, the mystery symbols are not that hard to get consistently in the base game. Secondly, every time you get them, you should be expecting to win at least 10 times your wager. Given the low payout amounts in this game, the mystery symbols are somewhat a saving grace in keeping your account balance afloat.
Last but not least, are the reel modifiers. It's debatable, but they seem to be the most spontaneous bonus feature in this game. That's when Mike Tyson himself will appear on your reels and throw a punch at you. It works almost like a free re-spin, but here you will get either one of two types of re-spin.
The first type is called the Super Stack Bonus Spin and as its name suggests, your spin will come with a stack of a high value symbol on your reels. The second version is called Super Bonus Spin and this would be a normal spin with higher chances of players getting scatter symbols.
