Pacific Paradise Slot by IGT - Logo

We hope you know how to dive, because you must strap on your oxygen tank and jump straight into the Pacific Paradise slot. Just kidding. It’s a video slot, so you need zero prior knowledge of deep-sea diving, but make sure you have an unquenchable thirst for underwater adventure and a craving for wins as vast as the ocean. Some slot gaming skills would be great too, as this slot isn’t for newbies. Hereby, we present to you a slot by IGT with 720 ways to win.

About The Slot
We don’t know what sort of a life-changing experience the IGT graphic designer had to go from the tigers and the full-blown Russian winter of the Siberian Storm slot to drawing up the most tropical underwater seascape of Pacific Paradise, but we love the contradiction. That said, the new release is pretty much a copy of the old, but why fix what’s not broken?

Rip off or inspiration from Siberian Storm?

It’s obvious that developers try and reuse graphics, audio and certainly features when creating ‘new’ slots, so it comes as little surprise that Pacific Paradise resembles it’s cousin Siberian Storm a great deal.

First of all, IGT is famed for it’s high-volatility slots, and just like Siberian Storm, Pacific Paradise offers 720 ways to win.

The slot features a slightly rearranged reel set up with three symbols on the sides, four going inwards and five symbols in the middle reel. This unusual set-up means that wins can be combined in many more ways than we’re used to. Exciting stuff!

Sea-through winning potential

It’s massive. We mean the cash potential of Pacific Paradise of course, although the underwater theme can be said to be massively expansive too.

The slot is advertised everywhere as a ‘win 720 ways’ game, so don’t be fooled into thinking that the few fishies staring blankly at you from the screen are innocent.

Since the slot is highly volatile, with bets ranging from £1 to £20, you have got to watch your balance carefully. A dozen empty spins at high stakes can leave you feeling as cold as those cold-blooded creatures that appear on the reels.

Nonetheless, your balance can also be heftily refueled when you get take into consideration all the multipliers that can be possibly triggered. The info sheet of the slot plainly states that wins are capped at 25 million coins (a.k.a. £416,000). If they need to be capped, what could be the maximum possible win? We can’t even tell, the math’s too hard. Oh well.

Yet one thing is for certain – this slot yields massive wins that are there for the taking, but will you dare to risk it all on this slot that’s as aggressive as a pissed-off piranha?

You must check it out at Mr Green (and win your share of £15,000!)

It’s time you paid a visit to Mr Green, if it happens to not be one of your absolute favourite casinos. That’s because they are hosting a Pacific Paradise giveaway to celebrate the launch of this IGT slot, which is great news for all the players eager to discover the new game.

All you’ve got to do is play Pacific Paradise from 24th of September to 4th of October. For every £10 you spend, you get one ticket to the prize draw. The more tickets you have, the better, because the amount you could win directly depends on it.

After the promotional period is up, the draw will take place and all the lucky swimmers and divers will split £15,000 in cash like so:

  • 20 players get £100 each
  • 30 players get £75 each
  • 100 players get £50 each
  • 150 players get £25 each
  • 200 players get £10 each

Game Features: Extra Spins, Stacked Wilds & More
Just like a the massive Pacific Ocean with schools of fish, this video slot is teeming with features. Let’s explore.

Never mind the extra spins, the slot pays out with Multiway Xtra Wins instead!

Alright, don’t miss out on the Extra Spins, but the Multiway Xtra Wins is really where the big money’s at in Pacific Paradise.

If you’ve never heard of this IGT feature before, we’ll make it simple for you. The slot pays for matching symbols in any position in adjacent columns, starting on the outer columns. So if you get the same symbol on each of the first four columns, that in itself would get you 15 coins per way (total of 90 coins per six ways).

Without getting into it too much, can we just say that this is a great way to multiply all of your wins, and when you add the possibility of combining Multiway Xtra Wins with other features, you get insane wins.

Win’s that don’t even come close to matching those of any other slots we’ve reviewed.

Other Pacific Paradise Features

  • Stacked Wilds are pretty straight-forward; get four or more consecutive Wilds on reels 2, 3 and 4 spin to maximise your winnings. The Stacked Wilds happen more frequently and bring even larger wins in the Extra Spins round, just thought we’d mention.
  • The Dual Symbols are a really cool feature too: fish symbols count as two whenever they show up, which multiplies the number of ways when included in a winning combination. Now, that’s no small bait as double symbols can quickly add up and escalate to a whole school of fish!
  • Don’t forget the Extra Spins, of which you can trigger 260 in total. Yup, not 10 or 15 like most other slots, but after you trigger the initial 10 Extra Spins with five Jellyfish Symbols, you can get much more. That’s simply because the reels are more rewarding in all kinds of ways during the Extra Spins, which means you can easily re-trigger Extra Spins until near-infinity.
  • And lastly, don’t forget the humble Scatters, five of which can multiply your win by 50x (4 by 20x, and 3 by 3x).

Verdict: More A Piranha Than A Cute Dolphin
Don’t get us wrong, we love this slot. It’s adrenaline inducing as one minute you can be way in the plus, and then next you can be counting your last pennies in the balance.

So instead of a friendly ocean inhabitant dolphin, we’d say this is a ticked off piranha that you must tame. For your own sake, we hope you are an experienced fisherman…and by that we mean slot player.

The return to player isn’t great, but when you take the Multiway Xtra Wins feature into consideration, along with the many peripheral features as well, the potential to trigger wins that extend above and beyond what you’d normally get at other low variance slots is magnificent.

Perhaps the graphics could’ve done with bring them to the 21st century, but this is IGT we’re talking about – infamous for shabby-chic graphics. It’s certainly no Taco Brothers by Elk Studios, that much is for sure.

On the other hand, we’ll take high volatility and big wins over graphics any day.

In the end, it’s all about winning. Four stars.
